Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Information Systems (Appointment for 7 months commencing from 1 December 2021 to 30 June 2022) [Ref. B/R/984/09]

Applications are invited for the above post:

Duties

  1. Teach tutorial/laboratory classes at the first-year undergraduate (BBA) level, in particular the large freshman classes in the areas related to Information Management, Information Technology, and Business Programming with a strong emphasis on IT applications in business;
  2. Help to recruit students with good JUPAS scores and engage first-year undergraduate students;
  3. Organize and assist in student activities;
  4. Handle teaching-related administrative duties as assigned by Head, programme leaders and course leaders; and
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned.


The appointee may be required to work beyond normal office hours.

Requirements

  1. A Master’s degree in Information Systems/Information Technology/Computer Science or related disciplines, preferably with at least 2 years’ experience at Bachelor’s degree level courses;
  2. Good leadership and communication skills with ability to work independently;
  3. Fluency in spoken English and Cantonese; and
  4. Being passionate in student caring are required.

Salary

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
