The College of Business is ranked 4th in Asia and 41st worldwide in the 2017-2021 UTD business school research ranking. The Department of Management Sciences has attained international recognition with a strong group of research active faculty who earned their PhDs from the most prestigious universities in the world.
Conduct high-quality research for scholarly publications, teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, and supervise PhD students.
The Department seeks strong candidates in operations, analytics, and business statistics. Specialization is open, but preference will be given to those with expertise in big data analytics, business statistics, econometrics, data-mining, operations management, operations research, optimization, statistics in healthcare management, supply chain management, and survey sampling. Candidates for Professor and Associate Professor should possess a PhD with international reputation in their research fields, substantial publication record, sound teaching record and administrative experience. They are expected to provide contribution/leadership in research, plan curriculum of studies, and supervise PhD students. Candidates for Assistant Professor should possess a PhD, completed or near completion, and good potential for publishing in high-quality journals.
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
