CityU receives substantial donations to support social innovation projects
城大獲資助發展社區創新計劃

CityU receives two major donations, over HK$52M in total, from “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust” to support our community and social innovation projects. The first project, which has commenced in April 2016, aims at promoting computational thinking and coding education for upper primary schools. The second project aims to promote social innovation and enhance the social empathy of young people through the use of augmented and virtual reality technologies. This project will kick off in January 2017. Both projects are led and coordinated by Office of the Vice-President (Development and External Relations).

城大連續獲得香港賽馬會慈善信託基金撥款，支持本校兩項社區創意項目，總額達五千二百萬港元。首個項目於本年四月開始，培養高小學生運算思維和創意電腦編程。第二個項目是利用虛擬實境技術培養青年之社會創新意念和同理心，於來年一月正式開始。兩個項目均由副校長室（發展及對外關係）統籌。
