A delegation led by Professor Xin Wang, Dean of College of Science (CSCI), visited five top universities in Kazakhstan in mid-April 2025. The debut visit to this Central Asia country was fruitful in building networks and laying the foundation for future collaborations.

On 3 April, about 30 CSCI students and faculty members embarked on an enlightening day trip to Dongguan, immersing themselves in cutting-edge facilities, engaging with industry leaders, and exploring advanced research technologies.

Delegates of the College of Science (CSCI)’s Master’s programmes shared admission tips at online information sessions held on 13 March 2025 and 20 November 2024. Current Master’s students and programme graduates also shared their learning experience at CityUHK with the prospective Mainland students.

Outstanding graduates from the Department of Mathematics have continued their academic journey overseas, with one of them headed to the University of Oxford for further studies. Tao Du, a 2023 graduate of B.Sc. in Computing Mathematics with First-Class Honours, is now a PhD student at the University of Oxford.

A group of 75 enthusiastic students and faculty members from the College of Science and College of Engineering embarked on an educational excursion to BIEL Crystal in Huizhou on 25 October 2024. This visit aimed to provide students with first-hand insight into the advanced technologies and manufacturing processes involved in the production of high-quality glass components widely used in smart digital and wearable devices, AR/VR glasses and automotive industry.

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and the University of Cambridge signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to foster academic and research collaboration in 2024. Not only a partner of CSCI’s internship schemes, the University of Cambridge is also the groomer of our outstanding students.
