Since the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, it is commonly believed that the fastest path for a ball to roll down from the top to the ground is also a straight line. In this talk, we will discuss the Brachistochrone curve which is the fastest path for a ball to roll down from the top to the ground under gravitational force.
