A Merry Match - Media Production Service (MPS)

With the recent re-organisation of the MPU, the Graphic/Photographic and Print Production Sections of the MPU and the Hard Copy Centre of the CSC have been merged to establish the Media Production Service (MPS). The MPS is now located in the original area of the Hard Copy Centre within the CSC. Although the MPS is a section of the MPU, its day-to-day operation is currently under the administration of the CSC.

The services provided by the MPS include:

2. Photographic Work

Printing/Output:

3. Colour Laser Printing
4. Colour Inkjet Printing
5. Film Recording (35mm slide or negative)
6. Identity Card Printing
7. Poster Printing

Scanning:

8. Color Image Scanning
9. Film Scanning
10. Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

Multimedia:

11. Sound Capturing
12. Video Capturing
13. Video-on-demand

Others:

14. CD-ROM Recording
15. Colour Laser Photocopying
16. Foam Board Mounting
17. Logo and Character Cutting
18. Optical Mark Scanning

A "MPS User Guide" listing all the services and prices is available from the MPS. Colleagues wishing to use these services can go directly to the MPS counter. Staff there will handle all job requests directly.
