Earnest Li, is the Co-Founder at Showalker Studio Limited, a social startup launched in 2018 to empower youngsters to build social capital and resilience with edutainment. 600 hundred secondary students have participated in an amazing social media campaign with us to produce 20 short films to promote the messages of social inclusion. In 2020, one of the student films won the award granted by Busan International Kids & Youth Film Festival. Before being a social entrepreneur, Earnest was a media professional with over 15 years of management experience in team-building and transformational leadership.
By applying “Design Thinking” as a strategy for innovative problem-solving, Earnest coached the supervisors of HKBN’s IPTV news team to improve effectiveness by 30% and significantly increased the level of job satisfaction in twelve months. Under his leadership, the news team won the finalist award of the Best International Public Affairs Programme by New York Festival in 2009.
Earnest started his career as a reporter with Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). During his tenure with TVB, he has successfully developed a few news beats including transportation, telecommunication and education, to deepen the team’s knowledge in related policies for more in-depth reporting.
