Professors from Huazhong University of Science and Technology Visited COM and Signed MOU with COM

Professors Xiaoping GUO (association dean of the School of Journalism and Information Communication) and Wei CHEN (deputy dean of the Institute of National Communication Strategy) from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) visited the Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong from 20 to 21 February 2023. They had a meeting with Professor Yu-li LIU (head of COM), Dr. Chris Fei SHEN (associate head of COM), and Dr. Yuan WANG (internationalization coordinator of COM) to discuss student exchange, collaborative research activities, and faculty and student visiting, etc. They also talked with the current graduate students and post-doctoral fellow in COM who are alumni of HUST and brought gifts to them. On 21 February, Professors Yu-li LIU and Xiaoping GUO signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate the exchange and collaboration between COM and the School of Journalism and Information Communication at HUST. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the vice president of CityU (Professor Matthew K. O. LEE) and HUST (Professor Jianguo CHEN).
