Professor Yi-Hui Christine Huang is the First Female Chinese Scholar in the Four Regions across the Taiwan Strait Elected as an International Communication Association Fellow

COM is pleased to announce that Prof Yi-hui Christine Huang, Associate Dean (Faculty and Research) and Chair Professor of Communication and Media, recently became the first Chinese female scholar in the four places across the Taiwan strait elected as an International Communication Association (ICA) Fellow in recognition of her distinguished scholarly achievement. Prof Huang’s accolade has affirmed Chinese female scholars’ academic accomplishments to the communication discipline worldwide. She is also the eighth Chinese to be appointed Fellow of ICA since the Association’s establishment.

Focusing on cross-cultural communication, strategic communication  management, risk communication in health and technology, and crisis communication, Prof Huang’s research outputs and contributions earn global recognition in the academia.
