Professor Joseph B. Walther of the University of California, Santa Barbara was invited to give an online research seminar on April 12, 2021. Professor Walther updated his Hyperpersonal Model to the social media environment and explained the mechanism of online hate speech from the perspective of prosociality. The seminar was attended by about 90 participants from around the world, who engaged in lively research discussions.
