Conversational Agents for Health and Behavior Change

On January 25, 2021, we invited Dr. Gary Hsieh from the University of Washington to give a research seminar talk. As an expert in interdisciplinary fields spanning social sciences and engineering, Dr. Hsieh presented three of his own studies on how conversational agents can be used to change health behaviors. Since many communication researchers are also interested in using technology to intervene in health behaviors, about 50 people attended the seminar, and the presentations were followed by a lively discussion with the audience.
