2008 Doctor of Philosophy in Media and Communication (PhD) Graduate
In 2008, I witnessed the birth of COM and became its “first” cohort of PhD graduates.
In the past decade, COM has grown into a world-class hub of media and communication research. In the past decade, I have gone on an unanticipated journey from Hong Kong, to Macau, to Singapore, and to the United States. I understand how much COM means to me after this long journey.
It is my belief that COM made me who I am today. COM has developed my intellectual curiosity and analytical mind, which enables myself to do scientific research wherever I am. COM has nurtured my perseverance, which drives myself to remain committed to sound scientific research wherever I am. COM has built up my capacity of critical thinking, which keeps myself to stay rational and open wherever I am.
COM was, is and will be my intellectual home. Happy anniversary to COM and all the students, faculties, and alumni!
