For admission to bachelor’s degree programmes at the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS), applicants must meet the General Entrance Requirements AND the department requirements (if applicable). The levels/grades indicated below are the minimum acceptable but possession of the qualifications in no way guarantees acceptance.
# Mathematics extended modules (M1/M2) cannot be used to meet the Mathematics requirement.
* Mathematics extended modules (M1/M2) and “other languages” (at grade E or above) can be used to meet the elective requirement. If students take both M1 and M2, they are counted as one subject only.
For applicants who have fulfilled the minimum entrance requirements, admission scores will be calculated for the selection of applicants. Presented below are the main admission score, with weighting applied, used by the departments. HKDSE applicants who meet the entrance requirements will initially be prioritised based on their admission score for consideration. For applicants with the same score, the department will consider other information to determine their order in the priority list, such as: other admission scores, relevant subjects, band choices, interview performance. For details, please refer to 'Other Considerations' of individual programmes.
