Virtual Event Offering Live Consultation for DSE Students

Providing up-to-date information on the undergraduate programmes on offer would help DSE students make the right move on their JUPAS programme choice modification. CityU’s JUPAS Consultation Day, held on 22 May 2021, successfully served the purpose with the participation of its colleges, schools, and supporting units, including the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS).

Through the College-level admission talk, prospective students got a big picture of various programme options offered by CLASS. Students can concentrate on a single major or complete two majors within the College or across Colleges/Schools. Those who would like to get a taste of studying abroad may consider the Joint Bachelor’s Degree programmes, which are offered in collaboration with renowned overseas universities. For those aspiring to pursue postgraduate studies, there is a fast-track option that allows them to take some taught postgraduate courses during their undergraduate studies, thus enabling them to gain both degrees in a shorter time.

The seven CLASS departments also arranged an array of events to provide details of individual programmes. With a line-up of talks and video shows, students have learnt the entry requirements, curriculum, career prospects, internship arrangements and exchange opportunities available. Through the live consultation sessions, students have clarified their doubts through chatting with programme/stream leaders. Some departments have invited current students and alumni to share their study life and learning experience, and organised expert talks to offer insights into specific fields of knowledge.

Those who have missed the JUPAS Consultation Day can refer to the website of CLASS for programme information.
