Knowledge transfer

The concept and culture of knowledge transfer (KT) have been an integral part of academic activities of colleagues of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS), City University of Hong Kong. Faculty members of CLASS have regularly and actively been sharing their expert knowledge with community partners through contract and collaborative research. Others have been conducting consultancy projects and community services, and serve on various advisory/editorial or examination boards. Other forms of KT activities performed by faculty members include organizing and participating in conferences and seminars, providing continuing professional development programmes, presenting at press conferences and newspaper columns, etc. To engage students in KT activities, faculty members in various departments and staff of the College have been coordinating local and offshore placements through various internship programmes. Our College embraces the University’s goals in knowledge transfer, and will continue our efforts to ensure that our expert knowledge is transmitted and benefits people in our society.
