Our world is painted with an ample amount of peculiar colours, in which the same thing could be said with the world of Chemistry. A chemical gets its color by electrons of atoms absorbing energy and obtaining a higher energy level. The electrons then could absorb light; the colours we see is part of the light that is not absorbed.
We've performed 4 experiments in order to show how colourful chemical reactions can be.
1.Chemical Chameleon reaction
2.Golden rain reaction
3.Dancing greenish blue flame reaction
4.Glowing luminol reaction

Graphite, which is made up of carbon atoms, has a giant covalent structure. Layers of hexagonal carbon atoms are held by weak van der Waals’ forces. Pencil lead is made by mixing graphite and clay. When we are writing, forces are applied to the pencil lead. The weak van der Waals’ forces between the layers of graphite are broken and some layers are detached from the pencil lead, forming marks on the paper. Particles in clay are held by electrostatic attractions. By mixing clay with graphite in different proportions, pencil leads with different hardnesses can be made. The higher the proportion of clay added, the harder the pencil lead will be. With a harder pencil lead, a lighter pencil mark will be produced when we are writing with the same force. Watch

Our team is demonstrating the conditions of effective collision with one of the favourite celebration move from Stephen Curry.
Besides, we also use experiment to find out the effect of surface area on rate of reaction, and how it could be used in antacid for alleviating stomachache.

In Ancient China, people used metals to make pills to achieve immortality. The process is called "Alchemy". The Ancients believed pills made of mercury is the most effective because they observed the color changing properties of mercury under heating. Actually, they were performing redox reactions. In this video, we are explaining this concept. Watch
