Congratulations to CityU Team to win a Bronze Medal at iGEM Competition 2022

The team "SeCure", comprising 7 undergraduate students from the department and other students, won the Bronze Medal in the 2022 International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Competition, organised by the iGEM Foundation in Paris. Team Members include:

Team "SeCure" was working on the development of novel anticancer drugs for resistant colon cancers based on natural products that were isolated from genetically modified fungi. The iGEM Competition gives students the opportunity to push the boundaries of synthetic biology by tackling everyday issues facing the world. Over 350 teams around the globe participated in the 2022 competition.
