COM Launched 12 Programmes under the CityU Talents Programme Featuring the Collaboration with a Highly Rated Overseas University

The Department of Media and Communication (COM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) recently established 12 undergraduate plus taught postgraduate programmes under the CityU Talents Programme. Among them, it launched CityU’s first two such programmes in collaboration with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a top overseas university ranked No.31 in Communication and Media Studies in the QS ranking. 
 
Starting from Semester A, 2021-22, COM talented students entering these 12 programmes can spend three to four years studying in an undergraduate programme and another one (for CityU’s master programmes) or two (for a foreign university’s programme) years studying in a master’s programme in communication, media, advertising, marketing, or language. In particular, eligible students can join the M.S. programme in Advertising at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, U.S. after studying in COM for only three years. Those exciting new programmes can expand COM’s scope of internationalization, offer more advanced learning opportunities to COM students, enhance their learning experience, and enrich their vision.
