Programme Aims

This programme aims to educate and train the IS managers and professionals of the future to understand the opportunity, principles and impact of digital transformation and technological innovation in organisations. The programme does not assume that students have prior knowledge in these areas, but a background in business or organisation studies will be an advantage. The programme incorporates a special focus on and the potential for strategic advantage that digital transformation and technological innovation can bring.

Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)

Upon successful completion of this Programme, students should be able to:
  1. Describe, communicate, and gain insights into the nature and scope of Information Systems in the context of Digital Transformation and Technological Innovation opportunity in organisations
  2. Critically analyze and evaluate current organisational practices with a view to their potential for Digital Transformation and Technological Innovation
  3. Identify, develop and plan strategic Digital Transformation and Technological Innovation initiatives that create value for all salient organisational stakeholders
  4. Draw original supportable conclusions from data collected in the context of a project that involves elements of digital transformation and technological innovation
  5. Analyse both the ethical and the ESG (environment, social and governance) aspects of Digital Transformation and Technological Innovation initiatives
