Part 1: Registration of Jobs by Employers for CARLS 3.0

  1. Eligible employers should have operated locally in Hong Kong for at least 6 months.
  2. To participate in CARLS 3.0, interested employers should provide job opportunities, whether full-time graduate employment or full-time contract-based employment to CityU graduates of Class 2022 of UGC-funded full-time Undergraduate programmes.
  3. Job opportunities should start between May and September 2022, with duration of at least 3 months or more.
  4. To facilitate job information submission under CARLS 3.0, employers should provide job details via the designated link specified in the email invitation.
  5. Upon submission of job information, acknowledgement will be sent to employers via email within 3 working days. Submitted jobs will be assessed for eligibility and employers will be notified of registration result within 5 working days.
  6. Eligible jobs will be uploaded to our in-house online job platform – JobPlus for students’ viewing.

Part 2: Matching Fund under CARLS 3.0

  1. One third (1/3) of graduates’ monthly salary will be matched, capped at HK$7,000 per month, for a maximum of 3 months. (For example, HK$7,000 will be matched for a monthly salary of HK$21,000; HK$6,000 for a monthly salary of HK$18,000).
  2. Quotas are set for employers’ matching fund on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  3. Once a CityU graduate is hired, employer is required to pay monthly salary in full to the graduate/employee for the first 3 months under the Scheme.
  4. Upon satisfactory completion of a maximum of 3-month employment, eligible matching fund will be reimbursed to participating employers by the University, subject to provision of the necessary supporting documents.
  5. Settlement can be made via bank transfer to company account or cheque payment addressed to the company directly.
  6. In case the 3-month employment is incomplete due to graduates’ premature departure or under any special circumstances, reimbursement to the employers will be made on a pro-rata basis according to the actual duration of employment.
  7. Employers need to make declaration on not receiving dual subsidies from CityU for the same employment.
  8. In case employers do not require the reimbursement of matching fund, they have the liberty to opt not to apply for the fund. In other words, reimbursement of the matching fund under CARLS 3.0 is optional to employers.
  9. Participated CARLS employers would be invited to fill-in a questionnaire regarding the feedback on CARLS 3.0.

"CARLS 3.0" is centrally-coordinated by Career & Leadership Centre, Student Development Services, City University of Hong Kong
