Maximum Workload
- During regular terms, students may be appointed to work up to a maximum of 17 hours per week including all concurrent job assignments.The weekly limit is counted on 7-calendar day basis from Sunday to Saturday.
- During summer term, students may be allowed to work up to a maximum of 44 hours per week for a period of not more than 2.5 months during 1st June – 15th August inclusive (Including all concurrent job assignments).The weekly limit is counted on 7-calendar day basis from Sunday to Saturday.
- Students can take on more than one job assignment at the same time; however, the maximum number of concurrent job assignments that a student can hold in any period within CityU should not exceed three (CIS and Student Helper Scheme inclusive).
- The CIS work should normally comprise at least 150 hours of service.
