The Gallery will comply with the requirements and restrictions announced by the Government and the University.

  1. Online registration for non-CityU member visitors is required and the number of visitors will be limited to no more than 20 people for each one-hour session.
  2. Visitors will be required to use the "LeaveHomeSafe" App upon entering the University and must either provide a COVID-19 vaccination record or the relevant exemption certificate for inspection upon request in accordance with the Vaccine Pass Direction.
  3. Starting from 26 September 2022, all people wishing to enter campus are required to have received at least three doses of COVID-19 vaccines, or have one dose of vaccine within the last 6 months.
You are welcome to use the registration system to visit the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery. Before registering, please read the following regulations:
  • Online registration for non-CityU member visitors is required
  • The system is open 24 hours online, however visit requests need to be made 3 working days before the intended visit (by 6 PM), to ensure timely processing.
  • NO registration on the same day will be accepted.
  • The name and ID number provided by the visitor must be consistent with the Hong Kong ID card, otherwise you will be turned back by the University’s security.
  • If visitors wish to cancel the appointment, they must do so at least two working days before the intended date of the visit (email: exhibition.gallery@cityu.edu.hk or call: 3442 6584).
  • If a visitor fails to cancel an appointment before coming, or does not show up two times in a row within 12 months, the Gallery reserves the right to reject any future registration.
  • Each visitor can only make one appointment with one registered email in the system at a time. Any duplicate registration will be discarded.
  • Visitors will receive a QR code at their registered email 48 hours after registering.
  • Visitors need to check-in at the tunnel entrance to CityU from Festival Walk.
  • At the barrier, please show the QR code (printed or on phone) along with the HKID for verification.
  • The QR code cannot access other campus buildings.
  • On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, on-site registration is available at the tunnel entrance to CityU from Festival Walk.
  • Visitors must follow the instructions given by staff at the Gallery.
  • The Gallery’s data privacy and security policy applies to all personal data collected from the registration.
  • Temperature scanning at campus entrance and face masks are mandatory for all visitors. Special arrangements will be implemented in line with the latest restrictions under the Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance.
  • If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted on the day of visit or during the visit, the Gallery will be closed and all visits cancelled. No compensatory arrangements will be made by the Gallery for another visit. Visitors have to submit a fresh registration online. The Gallery will remain closed that day if the warning signal is lowered less than 2 hours before the normal closing time.
  • If Black Rainstorm Warning is in force before the normal opening time, the Gallery will not be opened until the rainstorm warning is cancelled. The Gallery will remain closed that day if the warning is cancelled less than 2 hours before the normal closing time.
  • All persons admitted to the Gallery shall observe the above terms and conditions to ensure a smooth visit as they have indicated their agreement to the rules when submitting their applications. The Gallery reserves the right to decide on the final interpretation of these terms and conditions, as well as the right to accept or reject any applications.
  • These terms and conditions may be changed at any time without notice.
  • The English version of these terms and conditions prevails over the Chinese version in the event of discrepancies.
