As the number of nominations does not exceed the number of vacancies, in accordance with Section 35 of Rules of Meeting, no voting shall be necessary. The candidates so nominated shall then be deemed to be elected automatically as it was uncontested.
In accordance with Section 25.2 of the Constitution, Mr Robert Lui, Chairman of the Seventh Standing Committee, will be a member of the Eighth Standing Committee in his capacity as Immediate Past Chairman of the Convocation.

The upcoming Annual General Meeting 2021 (AGM) will be held on Tuesday, 7 December 2021, at 7:30pm, at Eminence Galaxy - Alumni Function Room, 11/F, Lau Ming Wai Academic Building, City University of Hong Kong, 83 Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.

In compliance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap.599G) and the University social distancing measures, members wishing to attend the meeting are required to register online at http://convocation.cityu.edu.hk/agm2021/registration before 30 November 2021 to facilitate venue arrangements. Members will not be allowed to enter into the meeting venue if no prior registration has been done.
