As the number of nominations does not exceed the number of vacancies, in accordance with Section 35 of Rules of Meeting, no voting shall be necessary. The candidates so nominated shall then be deemed to be elected automatically as it was uncontested.
In accordance with Section 25.2 of the Constitution, Mr Clovis Lau, Immediate Past Chairman of the Sixth Standing Committee, will be a member of the Seventh Standing Committee in his capacity as Last Preceding Chairman of the Convocation.

The upcoming Annual General Meeting 2019 (AGM) will be held on Tuesday, 17 December 2019 at 7:30pm. Since no election will be conducted, the AGM will take place at Eminence Galaxy - Alumni Function Room, 11/F, Lau Ming Wai Academic Building, City University of Hong Kong, 83 Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.

Members are earnestly invited to register online in advance for the AGM to facilitate arrangements. Convocation members who have registered online will be served at the priority counter on the event day.

The Secretary of Convocation will send the agenda and related information to members via email and post them on website on or before Tuesday, 10 December 2019.
