Exercise is Medicine® On Campus at City University of Hong Kong

Exercise is Medicine® On Campus (“EIM-OC”) programme is co-launched by the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Association to encourage faculties, staff and students of institutions to work together towards improving the health and well-being of the campus community. Led by Vice-President (Student Affairs), CityU EIM-OC Task Force was launched in 2016, aimed to help the University achieve Gold level designation.

The task force encourages on-going endeavours such as health talks, physical fitness courses and activities. In addition, health and fitness assessments are organised throughout the year.

With the collaborative efforts from the task force, CityU staff and students, CityU has obtained a Gold Campus Award for 2020. The award highlights how CityU fosters physical activity as a vital sign of health and encourages the campus community to work together to improve health and well-being. This aspiration matches the advocacy of the “One Health” concept at CityU.
