Nominations are invited from Deans, Heads as well as all faculty members. Prior consent of the nominees must be obtained. The nominees will be invited to provide supporting documents.
The application should consist of a summary description (maximum 8 pages) of the work of the researcher/team describing the research undertaken and its significance and contribution to society. Examples can be drawn from, but not limited to, academic and applicable research projects, contract research projects or consultancies. The document should provide evidence of the quality and potential of the research, grants, prizes and patents obtained, representative/significant publications and other forms of special recognition relevant to the discipline. For problem-focused research work, applicants should elaborate on the impact of the research outputs on the techno-economic development in Hong Kong and the region.
Nominations and applications should be submitted to the Office of the Vice-President (Research & Technology).
