Abstract

Humour is the best lubricant when it comes to interpersonal relationships. Bill Cosby, a well-known American actor and comedian, once said, ˇ§If you can find humour in anything, you can survive it.ˇ¨ If we all have a sense of humour, we will definitely live in a harmonious world and there will be no place for violence. The most important objective of humour is to make people laugh. It is the common language across all cultures. A humorous person is generally someone who is kind, intelligent, knowledgeable and confident. Funny people are often happier individuals and this happiness will make them healthier, and usually lead to a more successful career. Dr Jason Hu, Mayor of Taichung City in Taiwan, is a loyal disciple of humour. So share in his sense of humour, let out your laughter together, and feel the power of humour. Now, relax and have fun!
