Course Aims

The course aims to examine the social policy framework before and after the economic reform and examines how the shifting policy paradigm is affected by the structural changes in post-reform China. Major social policies that address the needs of citizens will be examined, including problem instigators, aims, content, outcomes and emerging issues. Another aim is to analyze China’s social development with particular reference to achievements, effects and future challenges.
