Course Aims

This course aims to provide students a comprehensive introduction to health maintenance and wellness technology and to enable students to understand this interdisciplinary subject with minimal background. Its major components include information technology for health maintenance, technologies for point-of-care diagnosis, medical imaging technology and medical device regulations and management. At the end of the course, students should understand the global need of healthcare system, the advancement of related technology as well as regulation and life-cycle of medical device/equipment.
