Course Aims

This course aims to equip students with knowledge and skills to apply IS methodologies to solve business problems. Students will learn how to initiate a project, conduct literature reviews and benchmark analysis, implement an IS project, and write a project report for their internship, consulting and research projects It is to enhance student’s practical skills in managing projects in a business information systems environment. Furthermore, students’ skills in effective communication, individual and team work, time management, data analysis and reporting, and creative problem solving will be trained in the real-world and evaluated for improvement. Students taking this course should have completed IS4937 and should already possess a fair amount of practical experience in the application, consultancy and/or research of information systems in a business setting.
