Course Aims

The aim of the course is to provide students with concepts and skills of Japanese language at professional contexts. Through the staging of practical communication strategies in spoken and written Japanese, along with the empowerment of Japanese honorific rules (Keigo) as well as sociocultural rules, students will be able to develop a critical awareness of how communication functions in the principal language systems of Japanese. Students will also be able to participate in and comprehend conversations of a more advanced level upon completion of this course.
