Course Aims

This course aims to identify some of the basic issues and changes that are occurring in the social-cultural developments of societies, with particular emphasis on major East and Southeast Asian societies; Interpret the various factors to account for the similarities and differences of the impacts of globalization on the social-cultural developments of societies, with particular emphasis on major East and Southeast Asian societies; Apply sociological perspectives to analyze in-depth global, regional and local issues concerning the relationship between globalization and social-cultural developments of societies, with particular emphasis on major East and Southeast Asian societies.
