Course Aims

The general aims of the course are:

(a) To  facilitate the discovery of new horizons, and to enrich the students’ knowledge in major trends in regional and international politics, especially in the realms of development  of political institutions, change of regime and governance, international organisations and politics, and issues relating to global trends.
(b) To equip the students with the intellectual skills to analyse political events in the contemporary world; and
(c) To instil a more cosmopolitan perspective and endow students with a sensitivity to developments in the outside world for a wider variety of future career choice.
