Course Aims

The aims of this course are to provid the student with the understanding of electronic systems to support subsequent courses, which focus on analogue, digital, hybrid systems and instrumentation for control, automation and mechatronic systems.

This course will be taught in Studio mode.

Assessment (Indicative only, please check the detailed course information)

Continuous Assessment: 40%
Examination: 60%
Examination Duration: 2.5 hours
Remarks: To pass the course, students are required to achieve at least 35% in the examination, 40% in coursework and 75% attendance.

A multiple choice test (40%), and open-book design examination (60%) will account for 60% of the final assessment mark.
