Course Aims

This course aims to introduce to the students the basic concepts of information systems; the applications of enterprise resource planning system (ERP), prototyping and decision support systems (DSS) techniques; and the recent development in IT infrastructures, business intelligence and e-commerce. On completing the course, students will be able to identify the critical factors in contemporary information systems applicable to industrial and business enterprises, and apply the related principles to solve operational and managerial problems in related fields.
