Course Aims

The aims of this course are to develop:
  • an understanding of the basic principles of the latest e-manufacturing tools in design and manufacturing; and
  • a practical awareness of the skill require to use software e-manufacturing tools to analysis various design and manufacturing activities.
Through a collaborative design project, students learn how to design a product assembly through teamwork and plane the subsequent manufacturing activities through simulation by appropriate e-manufacturing tools.

Continuous Assessment: 70%
Examination: 30%
