Dr Patrio CHIU

Senior Education Development Officer

Dr. Pit Ho Patrio Chiu currently holds the position of Senior Education Development Officer at the Talent and Education Development Office (TED) at the City University of Hong Kong. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Canada, and also completed a PgD.Ed. from the Education University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Chiu has extensive teaching experience at various higher education institutes in Hong Kong. Presently, he holds the role of course leader for SG8001 Teaching Student First Steps, an institutionalized teaching and learning course designed for all Graduate Teaching Assistants. Dr. Chiu's research interests lie in the areas of technology-enhanced learning and active learning. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he also manages the GE programme and Teaching Development Grants at CityU.
