Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) is a 10-scale, 80-item assessment of students' awareness about and use of learning and study strategies related to Self-Regulation, Skill and Will, which are the components of strategic learning. The survey aims to help you to identify your strengths and weaknesses with which you can consider further actions for improvement.
After completing the survey, you should have access to your own LASSI scores, through the AIMS system, which cover 10 major areas of your learning and study strategies:
The learning skills you developed in the past will be useful but may not be sufficient for university study. Here, higher intellectual thinking skills are demanded. You need to be able to process information, construct meaning and demonstrate your understanding through different kinds of assessment tasks and activities. There are lots of workshops and resources provided by different units in the University, such as the Computing Services Centre (CSC), Run Run Shaw Library (Library), Student Development Services (SDS) and Talent and Education Development Office (TED) and etc. Equipping yourself with the necessary learning skills is the first step to effective learning.
Please feel free to contact the LASSI Team of Talent and Education Development Office (TED) at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
