- Bachelor’s Degree
To be eligible for admission, an applicant must:
Hold a recognized bachelor’s degree of one of the universities in Hong Kong or from any overseas institutions recognized for this purpose by the University; or
Hold other such qualifications as deemed acceptable by the University as equivalent to the above.
Preference may be given to applicants with academic background in biology, marine science, environmental science, and/or veterinary science.
- Language Proficiency
Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is NOT English should also fulfill the following minimum English proficiency requirement:
*Applicants holding the old CET-6 result must attain a pass in the new test
- A TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test) or 79 (internet-based test); or
- An overall band score of 6.5 in International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS); or
- A score of 500 in the new College English Test (CET-6) of Mainland China*; or
- Other equivalent qualifications

Applications are processed on a rolling basis. Review of applications will start before the deadline and continue until all places are filled. Early applications are therefore strongly encouraged.
