CityU Campus Sustainability Day - Sustainability Hunt (S-Hunt)

CityU Campus Sustainability Day will be held on 22 Jan 2018 with the theme of "Innovations for a Sustainable Future". A number of events will be organised on CityU campus, including a Sustainability Hunt (S-Hunt) which is a fun game to explore and discover CityU sustainability.

For the S-Hunt, we welcome all levels of students from the school sector, who are interested in knowing more about sustainability in their daily lives. The S-Hunt will be in three categories with different levels of tasks to be done by the participants. The entire 8 check-point route will be for the CityU group, while secondary and primary student groups will have 5 and 4 check-points respectively. We will embed the spirit of CityU’s Discovery-enriched curriculum in the S-Hunt to encourage students to make their own discoveries during the competition. In each check-point, students will be briefed with some basic relevant sustainability information and then they will perform a related task. The check-points include CityU sustainability facilities (which are not open to public under normal circumstances), our newly set up CLP Power Low Carbon Energy Education Centre; CityU’s Smart Food Recycling Bin which turns food waste into fertilizers or energy resources etc. We expect the Hunt will be finished within an hour.
