Fushuai Jiang is broadly interested in approximation problems arising in real and harmonic analysis, with a specialization in Whitney-type extension and trace problems. He also has additional interests in convex geometry, optimal transport, and computational algebraic geometry.

He obtained a B.Sc. from the University of California, Los Angeles (2017, Departmental Highest Honors) and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis (2022). Before joining CityU, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Maryland and at ICERM.
