Welcome to our big family of 3000 residents!

To reflect the theme of the “Welcome Week”—“Share, Smile and Shine”,—during the “Welcome Week “(25 August – 6 September 2008), we have prepared several activities to invite you to share the warm atmosphere, be all smiles, and finally shine during the whole year!

All new returning residents were given special welcome offers during their check-in period on 25-27 August, including free transport bus services to the Student Residence and a Welcome Pack of 5 specially-designed gifts: an environmentally-friendly bag, a wyteboard marker, a welcome label, and a note book depicting residents’ photos capturing their residential life. When residents checked in at the Multi-function Hall A, the Welcome Team Residence Life Assistants in blue uniform, Residence Tutors and the staff of Student Residence Office greeted them with warm smiles and offered helping hands to them for completing all check-in procedures and getting resources. This year the Welcome Team Residence Life Assistants were strengthened and a RLA was stationed at each hall lobby to assist residents to resolve their issues, such as network connection, key problems and daily routine matters.

Another chance for residents to chat with us during the “Welcome Week” was the occasion when the Welcome & Food-tasting Party was held in Homey Kitchen on 5 Sept 2008 (Fri) at 3:30pm – 5:00pm. Residents were welcomed and invited to share your feelings about hall life.
