Well, this is the last utterance we want to hear, but watching the day draw near, we still need to be prepared and give best wishes to all. Every summer marks an ending for many who are leaving SR and probably the university, yet also ushers in a fresh start for many who are anticipating a colourful next stage of life.
Every summer we will see off old faces and welcome new faces. Whether they are leaving, joining or returning, we hope that our residents have all enjoyed their stay with us and wear a smile when they are saying goodbye to us. They should and will.
Isn’t our residence enjoyable and fruitful? Every resident can feel it so strongly every day, in their own rooms, in their encounter with other residents, at every floor meeting, at every high-table dinner, in every cheer in the competitions, in every burst of laughter with hallmates...

Yet this year is unique, because of our own uniqueness. Our residence experience has afforded us vast opportunities to challenge ourselves in non-academic fields. Event organisers, participants, whoever has been involved in any activity, will undoubtedly benefit from the hall experience and the people they have met and will certainly remember it even after waving goodbye to the SR.
Goodbye to our great friends and mates, for confidence is what you have learnt in CityU and the SR. And remember that whenever you come back to where you once lived, you will be extended the warmest welcome!
