Nowadays people are facing growing stress from work, life and study. How to deal with the pressure is becoming a hot topic in Hong Kong society. During the examination week, we should also pay attention to reducing pressure.

Recently the Department of Psychology of the Chinese University of Hong Kong has devised a new anti-stress method called ¡§7- well (¤C¦nÓVÀ£ªk)¡¨. The ¡§7-well¡¨ method includes both physical and mental aspects of dealing with stress. The main idea of the 7-well is as follows:

1. Maintain a healthy diet (and eat breakfast, which is often ignored by some students).

2. Take regular exercise (3 times a week for 30-40 minutes).

3. Spare enough time for sleeping (7-9 hours per day with a 1-hour siesta).

4. Maintain harmonious relationships with colleagues and friends.

5. Choose the most suitable job/work for yourself.

6. Have wholesome hobbies, e.g. listening to music, fishing, dancing and playing chess, etc.

7. Always keep a positive attitude towards the world.
