Hall Rules of Jockey Club Harmony Hall (Hall 7)

General

    Preamble
    1.1
Student Residence constitutes an important part of the University. These regulations aim at supporting and strengthening the responsible and mature behavior of all residents in order to achieve the following objectives:
      1.1.1 To ensure the safety of all residents and the security of all Hall properties and premises;
      1.1.2 To build and maintain a caring and harmonious relationship among all residents.
    1.2
Pursuant to the objectives noted above, the Hall 7 management body expects all residents and visitors to comply with these regulations.
    Residents' Behavior
    2.1 Gambling and betting activity is forbidden in any part of the Hall 7 area.
    2.2 Residents should not produce excessive noise after 23:00.
    2.3 Pets (e.g. birds & dogs) are forbidden without the prior approval of Residence Master.
    2.4 Mahjong is forbidden in any part of the Hall 7 area.
    Visitors
    3.1 Residents may invite visitors to the Hall, but visitors must leave the hall before midnight.
    3.2 Visitors are allowed to enter the Hall ONLY AFTER 08:00 every day.
    3.3

Visitors must register at the lobby when they enter and leave the Hall.
    3.4 Visitors must also abide by Hall Rules. Residents are responsible for the behaviors of their visitors.
  3.5 If a resident has three infractions relating to late visitors, he/she will receive a written warning and will be required to perform 5 hours of social service for the Hall.
    Rooms & Facilities
    4.1 Residents are not allowed to change the structure and design of the rooms unless specially requested and approved.
    4.2 Residents must not let other persons occupy or share the assigned rooms.
    4.3 Residents should keep all Hall facilities, furniture and equipments in good order.
    4.4 All public utensils and appliances should not be taken away. Furniture in common room should not be removed without approval.
    4.5 Any type of ignition (e.g. candles & aroma oil) is strictly forbidden with the Hall area.
    4.6 Residents should not create any disturbance to others.
    Smoking
    5.1 Smoking and drugs are strictly forbidden in any part of the Hall area.
    Cooking
    6.1 Any type of ignition giving rise to a naked flame is strictly forbidden within the Hall area.
    6.2 Simple cooking is allowed only in the pantry on each floor. Any type of cooking is forbidden in residential rooms, except floors seven to nine.
    Disciplinary Action
    7.1 Violation of these regulations may render a resident liable to various disciplinary actions including:
      7.1.1
Verbal warning;
      7.1.2 Warning letter;
      7.1.3 Suspension for entering the hall;
      7.1.4 Termination of residence contract; and
      7.1.5 Initialisation of other disciplinary procedures of the University
    Note
    8.1 The Residence Master has full discretion to interpret the regulations.
    8.2 Apart from these regulations, all residents should abide by the “Code of Student Conduct” of City University of Hong Kong

  1. 前言：
    1.1 學生宿舍是大學的重要組成部分。本條例旨在通過支持與加強所有宿生的負責與成熟的行為來達成以下的目標：
      1.1.1 確保所有宿生人身安全和宿舍樓的財產安全。
      1.1.2 在所有宿生之間建立和維持親切的、和諧的關係。
    1.2
為達成以上目的，學生宿舍7號樓管理群組希望所有的宿生和訪客遵守以下的規定。
  2. 宿生行為規則：
    2.1 宿生不得在宿舍範圍內進行任何帶有賭博性質的活動。
    2.2 宿生在晚上11點以後應保持安靜，不得發出不必要的噪音。
    2.3 未得宿監事先同意，宿生不得在宿舍樓內飼養任何寵物。
    2.4 宿生不得在宿舍範圍內打麻將。
  3. 訪客行為規則：
    3.1 訪客可以於每日早上8點之後進入宿舍樓。
    3.2 訪客必須在宿舍樓大廳保安處進行出入登記。
    3.3 訪客經宿生邀請可以進入宿舍樓，但必須在同一天午夜十二時正之前離開宿舍樓。
    3.4 由宿生邀請的訪客需遵守宿舍規定；宿生必須為其訪客之行為負責。
    3.5 如宿生犯下三次訪客超時逗留的規則，將被書面警告及需服務宿舍五小時。
  4. 房間與設施
    4.1 非經提出要求並得到允許，宿生不得擅自改變房間結構佈置。
    4.2 宿生不得讓他人佔有或者分享指定的房間。
    4.3 宿生應將所有的宿舍樓器具、家具以及設備維持在良好有序的狀態。
    4.4 不得取走任何公共衛生設備。家具的擺設非經允許不得變動。
    4.5 宿舍樓內嚴禁包括蠟燭以及香熏在內的任何形式的明火。
    4.6 宿生不得對他人進行任何形式的騷擾。
  5.

嚴禁吸煙
    5.1 宿舍樓內嚴禁吸食香煙與毒品。
  6. 嚴禁煮食
    6.1 在宿舍樓內嚴禁以任何形式點燃明火。
    6.2 簡單的烹飪只被允許在每一層的廚房內進行，在房間內禁止以任何方式烹飪，七至九樓層除外。
  7. 紀律處分
    7.1 違反以上條例的宿生將會得到下列的懲罰，由宿監決定。
      7.1.1
口頭警告；
      7.1.2 書面警告；
      7.1.3 暫停入住權利；
      7.1.4 中止入住合同；及
      7.1.5 展開其他紀律處分程式。
  8. 備註
    8.1 舍監對本條例享有酌情解釋權。
    8.2 除以上條款以外，所有宿生亦須遵守香港城市大學《學生行為規則》
