List of Visitors |
|
|
| |
You are required to submit a list of visitors including
full name and gender and a list of visitors who are under 15 years old to be taken care by adults at a ratio of 5 under 15 years old to 1 adult, before or upon check in. |

| 2. |
Collection of Keys |
|
|
| |
You may collect the keys on the
check-in date (after 2pm) from our 24 hours Security
Office located next to the main vehicle entrance of
the Student Residence. |
| |
|
| 3. |
Check-in and out |
|
|
| |
Check-in: after 2:00pm, Check-out: before 12:00noon. |
|
|
| |
For cases of late check-in, the
rental will be charged from the first day of the booking
submitted as the rooms have been reserved for the booking. |
|
|
| |
For cases of late check-out:
12:00noon-6:00pm: half of a daily rate;
after 6:00pm: a full daily rate. |

| 4. |
Payment |
|
|
| |
Once application is accepted, applicants are required to make deposit and balance of payment on time.
|
|
|
| |
For confirming of the booking, a non-refundable deposit equivalent to 50% of the total room charges is required to be made at least 1 month before the check-in date. The remaining balance should be settled before or upon the check-in date.
|
|
|
| |
Payment method can be made by departmental account transfer (please specify the transferred account with authorized signature on the application form), cheque, bank draft payable to “City University of Hong Kong”, or by credit card either by post to SRO or in person at Student Residence Office counter within office hours (9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5:30pm on weekdays, 9am to 12noon on Saturday, except public holidays).

Important Notes about Cancellation of Bookings |

| 5.1 |
Cancellation of bookings: |
|
|
| |
| a) |
Cancellation of booking
will only be accepted in writing, and
must reach the Student Residence Office
at least 7 working days prior the confirmed
check-in date. |
|
|
| b) |
Cancellation and/or change of bookings made between 8 and 14 days (inclusive) before the confirmed check-in date: a sum equivalent to 30% of the costs of the entire reserved but unused period will be charged. |
|
|
|
Cancellation and/or change of booking made 7 days (inclusive) before the confirmed check-in date: a sum equivalent to 50% of the costs of the entire reserved but unused period will be charged. |
|
|
| c) |
The Student Residence
Office reserves the rights to cancel,
postpone or alter arrangements for any
booking if necessary. |
|
|
|
| 5.2 |
No show of visitors on
the expected arrival date: full charges for
the entire booking period will be made to the
visitor(s) or applicant. |
|
|
| 5.3 |
All charges paid are non-refundable and non-transferable. |
|
| |
|
| 6. |
Accommodations |
|
|
| |
| 6.1 |
Smoking
on University campus is an offence.
Smoking is prohibited in both indoor
and outdoor areas of the Student Residence,
including in private sleeping rooms. Violation
of the law could attract a fixed penalty of HK$1,500. |
|
|
| 6.2 |
The Student Residence is
designed for adult usage and the facilities
are not childproof. Adults
or the Organizer/the coordinator are responsible
for the supervision of their children at all
times. Special approval is needed if participants are under 15 years old and the organizer needs to have adults to take care of them at a ratio of 5 under 15 years old to 1 adult. The University will not be responsible for any injury occurred. |

| 7. |
Provision |
|
|
| |
| 7.1 |
Beddings: pillow, pillow
case, flat sheet, quilt and quilt cover each.
For those who will be staying for over one week
or longer, one more pillow case, flat sheet
and quilt cover will be provided for visitor's
use. |
|
|
| 7.2 |
Free Air-conditioning is included in the room
charges. Visitors are encouraged to join other
residents as environmentally-friendly users when
using the hall facilities. |
|
|
| 7.3 |
Two rolls of toilet paper
will be provided at each toilet upon the check-in
date. For bookings more than one week, additional
rolls will be provided at the beginning. |
|
|
| 7.4 |
Visitors are advised to
bring along their own towels and other personal
hygiene necessities. |
|
|
| 7.5 |
Basic cleaning of the toilet
will take place once a week. Visitors are encouraged
to maintain a hygienic environment by disposing
garbage in the rubbish bins at the staircase
on the floor, and to keep the rooms clean. Cleaning
equipment can be found at the Common Room of
each floor. A vacuum cleaner can also be borrowed
from the security counter on the Ground Floor
of each hall. |

| 7.6 |
A Common Room is located
on each floor, equipped with sofa, dining table
and chairs, TV, microwave oven, refrigerator,
hotplate, hot and cold drinking water. |
|
|
| 7.7 |
Laundry room is located
on the top floor of each hall with coin-operated
(HK$ 1 & HK$5) washing machines and dryers.
Iron & iron board can also be found there. |
|
|
| 7.8 |
Computer rooms are located
on G/F in each hall. Visitors can use the computer
by getting a user name and password from the
security upon check-in. |
|
|
| 7.9 |
Coin-operated telephones for overseas calls
are located on G/F in each hall. |
|
|
| 7.10 |
Cafeteria
and automatic vending machines are located at
Multi-function Hall B (opposite Hall B). |
