Our Visiting Researcher Programme welcomes high-calibre PhD candidates who are studying in a law school in any places in the world other than Hong Kong to come and stay in our Centre to conduct research for a period of not more than three months.
During their visits, Visiting Researchers may be allowed to audit one or two Law School courses on a non-credit basis after they have received permission from the relevant course instructors. Besides, they may also participate in the seminars, conferences and other academic activities of RCCL and the School of Law.
While applicants of this Programme may be nominated by RCCL members, we also welcome unsolicited applications. A strict and competitive selection procedure will be conducted by RCCL core members to decide the successful applicants.Any person who is interested in becoming a RCCL Visiting Researcher should complete the application form below and submit it together with a curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, a reference letter from PhD thesis supervisor, a description of the PhD thesis in progress and a proposal of research intended to be carried out during the visit, as well as a cover letter describing how the applicant will benefit from a period at the Center to: Director, Visiting Researcher Program, Center for Chinese and Comparative Law, School of Law, City University of Hong Kong, Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon, Hong Kong, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
