Hong Kong Maritime Law Scholarship Scheme (Funded by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region)

Each year a number of full scholarships are offered to selected students since Semester A 2011-2012. These scholarships are available to students undertaking study in the Maritime and Transportation Law stream of the LLM programme. They can be used to cover the full tuition fee at CityU or (as partial scholarships for undertaking dual degrees at Swansea University and City University of Hong Kong). The scholarships are granted on the condition that the recipient agrees to engage in a full-time employment in the maritime-related field in Hong Kong for a period of not less than 12 consecutive calendar months on completion of their degree. Failure to complete the Maritime and Transportation Law Stream of the LLM programme for whatever reasons and/or to demonstrate due diligence in seeking work in the maritime industry may render the recipient concerned liable to repay in full or part of the scholarship received.
