New SEEM web site was launched. Taking part in a University-wide web redesign project, SEEM applied CityU's web design template to the new departmental home page which now supports a wide range of web browsers and mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablet computers.

With effect from 1 July 2011, the former Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management (MEEM) was re-organized and renamed to Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (SEEM) and a new Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering (MBE) was established.
