Professor Angus Yip Awarded RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme 2025–26

RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme

Prof. Angus YIP, Professor from the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), has been awarded a fellowship by the Research Grants Council (RGC) under the 2025/26 Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS).

The SRFS is a highly competitive program administered by the RGC to recognize and support outstanding researchers at UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong. Prof. Yip’s awarded research project is titled “Next-Generation Tandem Perovskite Solar Cells: High-Efficiency, Flexible, and Scalable Solutions for Diverse Applications”.

To support his research, a fellowship grant of approximately HK$8.2 million will be awarded over a 60-month period. Prof. Yip is one of only nine scholars across Hong Kong selected for this distinction in 2025–26, underscoring his leadership in the scientific community and the continued advancement of research excellence at SEE.
